Service and process

Our service

We check your information, transfer it to the official form (GewA 1, 2 or 3, including any required supplementary sheets) and send it by registered mail to the competent authority. We document the dispatch, and you can view the status at any time under ‘Application status’. The full costs are shown to you in the final step before you place the order.

What we do – and what we don't

• We accept your service order, check it and prepare the form.
• We submit it by registered mail to the confirmed competent office and document the dispatch.
• Official processing, confirmation and the collection of fees are carried out by the authority. Clicking ‘Order with obligation to pay’ is neither an official registration nor an approval.
• The trade notification does not replace a specialist permit and does not trigger automatic tax registration.

Business relocation

Since 01.11.2025, a complete relocation to a different registration district only needs to be notified to the newly competent authority; it informs the previous authority (§ 14 Abs. 1 Satz 3 GewO, § 3 Abs. 2a GewAnzV). A separate deregistration is then not required – we neither order nor charge for it.

Responsibility

We determine the competent office on the basis of the official municipality assignment of the business premises, not on the postcode alone. Before dispatch, we confirm the office's address and submission procedure.
